MANILA, Philippines – Hell hath no fury like a woman scorned. Thus learned a Pasig City traffic officer whose penis was severed by his own wife on suspicions that he was a womanizer.
Joelito Bayabado, 32, a member of Pasig City’s Traffic and Parking Management Office (TPMO) was castrated by his wife inside their home in Brgy. Pinagbuhatan, Pasig City Thursday morning.
According to Pasig City police chief Sr. Supt. Francisco Uyami Jr, the couple had a quarrel several days ago over the victim’s alleged womanizing, which prompted the husband to leave their home.
Police said Bayabado did not return to their house for more than a week. And when he finally showed up Thursday early morning, the intoxicated husband went straight to bed to sleep.
While lying on the bed, his wife took off his clothes, and just when he thought that he was in for some loving, the victim’s wife pulled out a knife and cut of the man’s sex organ.
“Akala raw nung biktima nilalambing lang siya ng asawa niya kaya siya hinuhubaran (He thought that his wife was just being sweet that’s why she was taking off his clothers),” Uyami said.
“Bigla na lang daw naramdaman nung biktima na may masakit sa ari niya at dumudugo na ito (Then, the victim just suddenly felt pain in his organ and saw blood gushing),” Uyami added.
The victim was immediately brought to the Rizal Medical Center in Pasig City, but efforts to reattach the severed organ turned out to be futile.
Despite his “loss,” however, the victim has refused to press charges against his wife and prevented authorities from effecting an arrest.
“Ayaw nung lalaki na ipaaresto and kanyang asawa at tumanggi rin siya na sampahan ng kaso ang kanyang asawa (The husband did not want the wife arrested and also refused to file charges against her),” Uyami said, adding that the victim made the decision was to protect their three young children.
