RP gets 4 more gold for 37 total but still stuck in 6th at SEA Games

The Philippines bagged four more gold medals as of 5:07 p.m. on Thursday – one in cycling, one in judo, and two in softball – for a total of 37 at the 24th Southeast Asian (SEA) Games being held in Thailand. But it remains in sixth place.

Also on Thursday, the Filipino athletes also bagged nine silver and seven bronze medals for a cumulative total of 62 and 84, respectively, according to results posted in the SEA Games website.

Following is the list of Filipinos who got medals on Thursday:

Gold medalists

  • Baby Marites Bitbit in the women’s cycling road race
  • Women’s softball with a team composed of Nelsa Delagente, Esmeralda Tayag, Sarah Jane Agravante, Cloiene Muyco, Emily Tayag, Elain Bacarisas, Syrel Ramos, Janet Vallite, Nimpa Baral, Gedda Valencia, Sheirylou Valenzuela, Dione Macasu, Mary Joy Lasquite, Belen Asok, Karina Aribal, Luvelyn Maganda, Yocel and Aguilar
