A British missionary who has been missing for two weeks has been found dead in Agusan del Sur.
ABS-CBN Regional Network Group reported that David Brass, who was a missionary of the Baptist church was found dead Saturday afternoon in Barangay Tagabua in San Francisco town in Agusan del Sur.
David’s wife Annalyn Brass was the one who reported her husband missing.
Police investigation however showed that David’s wife was the person behind his death.
Police said that Annalyn admitted that he ordered her driver, Reynaldo Prado, to look for a hired killer.
The police investigation said Prado found Noel Noja whom Annalyn paid to kill David.
David was reportedly killed Nov. 22.
There was no report on the motive for David’s killing.
Reports quoting Christian Today, said that Pastor David Brass reportedly went missing after visiting a friend since Nov. 22 and was believed to be abducted by an unidentified group. Brass, a missionary of the Baptist church is temporarily residing in La Libertad village in Butuan City.
The reported disappearance of Brass triggered apprehensions that he may have been taken captive by armed groups citing previous incidents when kidnappers operating in southern Philippines abducted Italian priest Fr. Giancarlo Bossi early this year.
